For over a decade, Housing Works Bookstore has established itself as a New York downtown institution and tourist destination. Check out our calendar for special events or stop by to shop books, media, gifts, as well as a curated selection of thrift clothing and housewares. We pride ourselves in being a great place to shop and meet friends for a coffee or glass of wine. Our one-of-a-kind space is available for rent, and we host weddings and special events almost every weekend. In addition to books and media, the Bookstore now accepts donations of gently used clothing, shoes, accessories, decorative housewares, art and antiques. Please limit book and media donations to 2 bags or boxes per customer.
